✧ Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun when there is no cloud below it? They said: No, O Messenger of Allah. He said: Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on the night of the full moon when there is no cloud below it? And Abd al-Razzaq once said: the moon on the night of the full moon when there is no cloud below it. They said: No, O Messenger of Allah. He said: Then you will see your Lord, Mighty and Majestic, on the Day of Resurrection just as clearly. Allah will gather the people and say: Whoever used to worship anything, let him follow it. So those who worshipped the moon will follow the moon, those who worshipped the sun will follow the sun, and those who worshipped false deities will follow the false deities. This community will remain with its hypocrites among them. Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will come to them in a form other than the one they know and say: I am your Lord. They will say: We seek refuge in Allah from you; this is our place until our Lord [Mighty and Majestic] comes to us, and when our Lord comes we will recognize Him. He said: Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will come to them in the form they know and say: I am your Lord. They will say: You are our Lord, and they will follow Him. He said: A bridge will be set over Hell. The Prophet ﷺ said: I will be the first to cross, and the call of the messengers that day will be: O Allah, grant safety, grant safety. And on it are hooks like the thorns of sa'dan. Have you seen the thorns of sa'dan? They said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said: They are like the thorns of sa'dan, except that no one knows their size except Allah, Mighty and Majestic. They will snatch people according to their deeds. Among them will be the one destroyed by his deed, and among them the one cut into pieces then saved, until when Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has finished judging between the servants and wants to bring out of the Fire whom He wills to have mercy on among those who testify that there is no god but Allah, He will command the angels to bring them out. They will recognize them by the mark of the traces of prostration, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has forbidden the Fire to consume from the son of Adam the trace of prostration. They will bring them out of the Fire, having been scorched. Then water called the Water of Life will be poured on them, and they will grow like seeds grow in the silt carried by a flood. One man will remain, turning his face toward the Fire, and he will say: O Lord, its smell has afflicted me and its heat has burned me, so turn my face away from the Fire. He said: He will keep supplicating Allah, Mighty and Majestic, until He says: Perhaps if I grant you that, you will ask Me for something else. He will say: No, by Your might, I will not ask You for anything else. So He will turn his face away from the Fire. Then after that he will say: O Lord, bring me near the gate of Paradise. He will say: Did you not claim that you would not ask Me for anything else? Woe to you, O son of Adam, how treacherous you are. He will keep supplicating until He says: Perhaps if I grant you that, you will ask Me for something else. He will say: No, by Your might, I will not ask You for anything else. And he will give Allah, Mighty and Majestic, covenants and promises not to ask for anything else. So He will bring him near the gate of Paradise. When he draws near to it, Paradise will open up for him. When he sees the joy and delight in it, he will remain silent as long as Allah wills him to remain silent. Then he will say: O Lord, admit me to Paradise. He will say: Did you not claim that you would not ask Me for anything else? Or he said: Did you not give your covenant and promises that you would not ask Me for anything else? He will say: O Lord, do not make me the most wretched of Your creation. He will keep supplicating Allah, Mighty and Majestic, until He laughs. When He laughs at him, He will permit him to enter it. When he enters, it will be said to him: Wish for such and such, and he will wish. Then it will be said: Wish for such and such, and he will wish until his wishes are exhausted. Then it will be said: This is for you and its like along with it. He said: Abu Sa'id was sitting with Abu Hurayrah and did not object to anything of his words until he reached his saying: This is for you and its like along with it. Abu Sa'id said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: This is for you and ten times its like. Abu Hurayrah said: I memorized 'and its like along with it.' Abu Hurayrah said: That man is the last of the people of Paradise to enter Paradise.
