حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

إِذَا سَمِعَ الشَّيْطَانُ الْمُنَادِيَ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ خَرَجَ وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ حَتَّى لَا يَسْمَعَ الصَّوْتَ، فَإِذَا فَرَغَ رَجَعَ فَوَسْوَسَ فَإِذَا أَخَذَ فِي الْإِقَامَةِ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ.

Translation

✧ When Satan hears the caller calling to prayer, he leaves, passing wind, so that he does not hear the sound. When the call is finished, he returns and whispers. When the iqamah begins, he does the same.
