حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ
لَا يَزَالُ الْعَبْدُ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا دَامَ يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ، تَقُولُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ، مَا لَمْ يَنْصَرِفْ أَوْ يُحْدِثْ فَقِيلَ لَهُ: مَا يُحْدِثُ ؟ قَالَ: يَفْسُو أَوْ يَضْرِطُ.

✧ A servant remains in prayer as long as he waits for the prayer. The angels say: 'O Allah, forgive him; O Allah, have mercy on him,' as long as he does not leave or break wind. It was said to him: 'What breaks wind?' He said: 'He passes wind silently or audibly.'
