حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِالطَّرِيقِ، فَلَا تَبْدَؤُوهُمْ بِالسَّلَامِ، وَاضْطَرُّوهُمْ إِلَى أَضْيَقِهَا.

Translation

✧ When you meet the idolaters on the road, do not initiate the greeting of peace with them, and force them to its narrowest part.
