حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْإِبِلِ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Yazīd
  2. Muḥammad
  3. Abū al-Zinād
  4. al-Aʿraj
  5. Abū Hurayrah
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ The head of disbelief is towards the east, and pride and arrogance are among the owners of horses and camels, the loud-voiced people of the desert, while tranquility is among the owners of sheep.
