✧ Prayer to prayer is an expiation for what is between them, Friday to Friday is an expiation for what is between them, and month to month is an expiation for what is between them, except for three things. He said: So we knew that it was something that had occurred: except for associating partners with Allah, breaking a covenant, and abandoning the Sunnah. He said: We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we know what associating partners with Allah is, but what is breaking a covenant and abandoning the Sunnah?' He said: 'As for breaking a covenant, it is that you give a man your pledge of allegiance, then you fight him with your sword. As for abandoning the Sunnah, it is leaving the community.'
