حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ ابْنِ دَارَّةَ مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ قَالَ

إِنَّا لَبِالْبَقِيعِ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ إِذْ سَمِعْنَاهُ يَقُولُ: أَنَا أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِشَفَاعَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ: فَتَدَاكَّ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا: إِيهٍ يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ قَالَ: يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَكَ يُؤْمِنُ بِي وَلَا يُشْرِكُ بِكَ.

✧ I was at al-Baqi' with Abu Hurayrah when I heard him say: I am the most knowledgeable of people about the intercession of Muhammad ﷺ on the Day of Resurrection. He said: The people crowded around him and said: Go on, may Allah have mercy on you. He said: He will say: O Allah, forgive every Muslim servant who met You believing in me and not associating anything with You.
