حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
كَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يُصَلِّي بِالْمَدِينَةِ نَحْوًا مِنْ صَلَاةِ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ هَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي قَالَ: وَمَا أَنْكَرْتَ مِنْ صَلَاتِي ؟ قُلْتُ: لَا وَاللهِ إِلَّا خَيْرًا إِنِّي أَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، وَأَجْوَزُ.

✧ Abu Hurayrah used to pray in Madinah with a prayer similar to that of Qays b. Abi Hazim. I said to him, 'O Abu Hurayrah, did the Messenger of God ﷺ pray like this?' He said, 'And what did you find objectionable in my prayer?' I said, 'No, by God, only good. I just wanted to ask you.' He said, 'Yes, and even more briefly.'
