✧ When the delegation of ʿAbd al-Qays came to the Prophet ﷺ, he forbade them from using ḥantam jars, naqīr vessels, muzaffat vessels, and mazāda with the top cut off. It was said: 'Infuse in your waterskin, tie it, and drink it sweet and pleasant.' A man said: 'O Messenger of God, permit me to use something like this.' He said: 'Then you will make it like this.' Yazīd said: 'Hishām opened his hand a little and said: "Then you will make it like this," and he opened his hand something higher than that.'
