حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَرَوْحٌ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
لَا حَسَدَ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَتْلُوهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ [وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ]، فَسَمِعَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ: يَا لَيْتَنِي أُوتِيتُ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ هَذَا فَعَمِلْتُ فِيهِ مِثْلَ مَا يَعْمَلُ فِيهِ هَذَا، وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ مَالًا فَهُوَ يُهْلِكُهُ فِي الْحَقِّ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا لَيْتَنِي أُوتِيتُ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ هَذَا فَعَمِلْتُ فِيهِ مِثْلَ مَا يَعْمَلُ فِيهِ هَذَا.
Translation

✧ There is no envy except in two cases: a man to whom Allah has given the Quran and he recites it during the hours of the night and the hours of the day, and a man hears him and says, 'Would that I had been given the like of what this man has been given, so I would do with it as he does.' And a man to whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in truth, and a man says, 'Would that I had been given the like of what this man has been given, so I would do with it as he does.'
