حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

لَأَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ جَوْفُ أَحَدِكُمْ قَيْحًا حَتَّى يَرِيَهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْرًا.

Translation

✧ For one of you to have his belly filled with pus until it destroys him is better for him than to have it filled with poetry.
