حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الْأَصْفَرِ وَعَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَسْجُدُ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ قَالَ: قُلْتُ تَسْجُدُ فِيهَا ؟ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ خَلِيلِي ﷺ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا فَلَا أَزَالُ أَسْجُدُ فِيهَا حَتَّى أَلْقَاهُ.

✧ I saw Abū Hurayrah prostrating in [Sūrat] “When the sky is split apart.” He said: I said: Do you prostrate in it? He said: I saw my close friend ﷺ prostrating in it, and I will not cease prostrating in it until I meet him.
