Translation

✧ Abū Hurayra said: A man from the Banū Fazāra gave the Prophet ﷺ a she-camel as a gift, and he compensated him, but the man was displeased. I heard the Prophet ﷺ on the minbar saying: One of them gives a gift, and I compensate him according to what I have; then he is displeased. By Allah, after this year of mine I will not accept a gift from the Arabs except from a Qurashī, an Anṣārī, a Thaqafī, or a Dawsī.
