حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بُرَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ
سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلاً يُثْنِي عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَيُطْرِيهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَهْلَكْتُمْ أَوْ قَطَعْتُمْ ظَهْرَ الرَّجُلِ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationMuḥammad narrated to us, he said: Muḥammad b. al-Ṣabbāḥ narrated to us, he said: Ismāʿīl b. Zakariyyā narrated to us, he said: Burayd b. ʿAbdillāh narrated to me, from Abū Burdah, from Abū Mūsā, who said:
✧ The Prophet ﷺ heard a man praising another man and extolling him, so the Prophet ﷺ said: "You have destroyed" or "you have broken the back of the man."
