حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ قَالَ
جَاءَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ فَصَعِدْتُ بِهِ عَلَى سَطْحٍ أَجْلَحَ فَنَزَلَ وَقَالَ كِدْتُ أَنْ أَبِيتَ اللَّيْلَةَ وَلاَ ذِمَّةَ لِي
Translation
'Ali ibn 'Umara said, "Abu Ayyub al-Ansari came and went up on the flat roof. He came down and said, 'I almost spent the night with no protection.'"
