حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سُرَاقَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ:

إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ بَعْدَ نُوحٍ إِلَّا قَدْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ الدَّجَّالَ، وَإِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ "، فَوَصَفَهُ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ: " لَعَلَّهُ سَيُدْرِكُهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ رَآنِي أَوْ سَمِعَ كَلَامِي "، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ قُلُوبُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ، أَمِثْلُهَا الْيَوْمَ ؟ قَالَ: " أَوْ أَخْيَرُ

✧ "There was no prophet after Noah but he warned his people of the Dajjal, and I warn you of him." The Messenger of God ﷺ described him to us and said: "Perhaps some of those who saw me or heard my words will live to see him." They said: "O Messenger of God, how will our hearts be that day? Like they are today?" He said: "Or better."
