حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ شَقِيقِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ الْجَرْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:

تَذَاكَرَ هُوَ وَعُمَرُ الصَّلَاةَ، قَالَ: فَمَرَّ بِنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، فَقَالَ: أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ، ﷺ ؟ يَقُولُ: " فَأَشْهَدُ بِشَهَادَةِ اللهِ لَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَكَانَ فِي الشَّكِّ مِنَ النُّقْصَانِ فِي صَلَاتِهِ، فَلْيُصَلِّ حَتَّى يَكُونَ فِي الشَّكِّ مِنَ الزِّيَادَةِ

✧ He and Umar were discussing prayer. He said: Abd al-Rahman b. Awf passed by us and said: Shall I not tell you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ? He said: I bear witness by the testimony of God that I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: When one of you prays and is uncertain about deficiency in his prayer, let him pray until he becomes uncertain about addition.
