✧ Severe hardship befell me, and I met Umar b. al-Khattab and asked him to help me read a verse of the Book of God. He entered his house and opened it for me. I walked not far and fell on my face from hardship. Then I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ standing at my head, and he said: O Abu Hurayra. I said: At your service, O Messenger of God, at your service. He took my hand, lifted me up, and recognized what was wrong with me. He took me to his tent, ordered a bowl of milk for me, and I drank from it. Then he said: Drink again, O Abu Hurayra. So I drank again. Then he said: Drink again, O Abu Hurayra. So I drank again, until my stomach became full and like a cup. Then I saw Umar and told him what had happened to me, and I said to him: The one who had more right to that than you, O Umar, took care of it. By God, I asked you to read the verses, and I know them better than you. Umar said: By God, if I had brought you in, that would be dearer to me than having red camels.
