حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَامِعٍ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ أَبِي الْجَنُوبِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:

قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ يَلْتَفِتُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا، فَظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ لِكُلِّ سُبُوعٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُسَلِّمْ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited before dawn, then he recited six rak'ahs, turning in every two rak'ahs to the right and to the left, so we thought that he did two rak'ahs for every seven, and he did not say the salam.
