حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يَأْتِيهِ الرَّجُلُ يَسْتَفْتِيهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ، فَيَقُولُ: أَتَعْرِفُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟. فَيَقُولُ: هُوَ أَنْتَ. فَيَقُولُ: أَنَا أُصَلِّي فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ، وَإِنَّ ثَوْبِي لَمَوْضُوعٌ عَلَى الْمِشْجَبِ

Translation

✧ A man would come to Abu Hurayra asking his ruling about praying in a single garment, and he would say, 'Do you know Abu Hurayra?' The man would say, 'He is you.' He would say, 'I pray in a single garment, and my garment is indeed placed on the peg.'
