حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْكِنْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ قَدِمَا فِي زَمَنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَخَطَبَا، فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنْ كَلَامِهِمَا، فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا، أَوْ: إِنَّ بَعْضَ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرٌ
Translation

✧ Two men came during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ and delivered speeches, and the people marveled at their speech. The Messenger of God ﷺ turned to us and said: “Indeed, some eloquence is magic,” or “Indeed, some eloquence is magic.”
