وَعَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
اقْتُلُوا الْحَيَّاتِ، وَذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ، وَالْأَبْتَرَ، فَإِنَّهُمَا يَلْتَمِسَانِ الْبَصَرَ، وَيَسْتَسْقِطَانِ الْحَبَلَ، وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقْتُلُ كُلَّ حَيَّةٍ وَجَدَهَا، فَأَبْصَرَهُ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ، أَوْ زَيْدُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَهُوَ يُطَارِدُ حَيَّةً، فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ ذَوَاتِ الْبُيُوتِ
Translation

✧ Kill snakes, and the one with two white stripes and the short-tailed one, for they cause blindness and cause miscarriage. Ibn Umar used to kill every snake he found, and Abu Lubabah or Zayd b. al-Khattab saw him pursuing a snake and said: He forbade the house snakes.
