حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، قَالَ:
أَتَيْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ، قَالَ: فَأُلْقِيَتْ عَلَيَّ مَحَبَّةٌ مِنْهُ، وَعِنْدَهُ شَبَابٌ، فَقَالُوا لِي: سَلْهُ - فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى - فَسَأَلْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ وَلَهُ سِتُّمِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ

✧ I came to Zirr b. Hubaysh. He said: Affection for me was cast upon him, and there were young men with him. They said to me: Ask him – for he was at a distance of two bow-lengths or nearer – so I asked him, and he said: Abdullah b. Mas'ud said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw Jibril, and he had six hundred wings.
