حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ النَّصْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِنَّ اللهَ لَمْ يُحَرِّمْ حُرْمَةً إِلَّا وَقَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهُ سَيَطَّلِعُهَا مِنْكُمْ مُطَّلِعٌ، أَلَا وَإِنِّي آخِذٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ عَنِ النَّارِ أَنْ تَهَافَتُوا فِيهَا كَتَهَافُتِ الْفَرَاشِ أَوِ الذُّبَابِ أَوِ الْحُنْظُبِ

✧ God has not forbidden any sacred thing except that He knew someone among you would look into it. Indeed, I am holding you back by your waist-wrappers from the Fire, lest you tumble into it like the tumbling of moths, or flies, or beetles.
