حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَازِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ:
رَمَى عَبْدُ اللهِ جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ، يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ، قَالَ: فَقِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّ نَاسًا يَرْمُونَهَا مِنْ فَوْقِهَا، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: هَذَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ مَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ
Translation

✧ Abdullah threw Jamrat al-Aqabah from the bottom of the valley with seven pebbles, saying 'Allahu akbar' with each pebble. It was said to him: 'Some people throw it from above.' Abdullah said: 'This, by the One besides whom there is no god, is the station of the one to whom Surat al-Baqarah was revealed.'
