✧ The chapter “Abasa wa Tawalla” was revealed regarding Ibn Umm Maktum, the blind man. He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and began saying, “O Messenger of Allah, guide me.” At that time, with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ there were some of the notables of the polytheists. The Prophet ﷺ began to turn away from him and face the others, saying, “Do you see any harm in what I say?” They would say, “No.” And it was about this that it was revealed: “Abasa wa Tawalla” (He frowned and turned away).
