حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ هِنْدَ بِنْتَ عُتْبَةَ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ رَجُلٌ شَحِيحٌ، وَلَيْسَ يُعْطِينِي مَا يَكْفِينِي وَوَلَدِي، وَأَنَا آخُذُ مِنْهُ، وَلَا يَعْلَمُ، فَقَالَ: خُذِي مَا يَكْفِيكِ وَوَلَدَكِ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ
Translation

✧ Hind bt. Utba said: "O Messenger of God, Abu Sufyan is a stingy man, and he does not give me what suffices me and my child, and I take from him without his knowledge." So he said: "Take what suffices you and your child, according to what is reasonable."
