حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الطُّوسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْجُبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ بَكْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيَّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:

نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى نَاسٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي وَهِيَ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ، فَضَرَبْتُهَا بِرِجْلِي ثُمَّ قُلْتُ: انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ، قَالَ: وَشَرَابُهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْبُسْرُ وَالتَّمْرُ

✧ The prohibition of wine came down, and I entered upon some of my companions while it was before them. I kicked it with my foot, then I said: Go to the Messenger of God ﷺ, for the prohibition of wine has come down. He said: Their drink in those days was unripe dates and dried dates.
