حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ بَيَانٌ، قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ حَدِّثْنِي بِوَقْتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، قَالَ: كَانَ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ عِنْدَ دُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ، وَيُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ بَيْنَ صَلَاتَيْكُمُ الْأُولَى وَالْعَصْرِ، وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، وَيُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِ الشَّفَقِ، وَيُصَلِّي الْغَدَاةَ عِنْدَ الْفَجْرِ حِينَ يُفْتَتَحُ الْبَصَرُ، كُلُّ مَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ وَقْتٌ، أَوْ قَالَ: صَلَاةٌ
Translation

✧ I said to Anas: Tell me about the timing of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in prayer. He said: He used to pray Zuhr at the sun's decline, pray 'Asr between your two prayers—the first and 'Asr—pray Maghrib at sunset, pray 'Isha at the disappearance of the twilight, and pray the morning prayer at dawn when sight begins. All between that is a time—or he said: a prayer.
