حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، فَنَقَشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ، وَقَالَ لِلنَّاسِ: إِنِّي اتَّخَذْتُ خَاتَمًا، وَنَقْشُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ، فَلَا يُنْقَشْ عَلَى نَقْشِهِ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ adopted a silver signet ring and engraved on it 'Muhammad, Messenger of Allah,' and said to the people: I have adopted a signet ring and its engraving is Muhammad, so let no one engrave with its engraving.
