حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَهُوَ يَسْلُتُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ: كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ شَجُّوا نَبِيَّهُمْ وَكَسَرُوا رُبَاعِيَتَهُ وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللهِ ؟ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ: لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said on the day of Uhud, while wiping the blood from his face: "How can a people prosper who wounded their Prophet and broke his front tooth, while he was calling them to God?" Then God revealed: "You have no part in the matter, whether He turns to them in mercy or punishes them, for they are indeed wrongdoers."
