✧ I was serving drink to Abu Talhah, Abu Dujanah, and Suhayl b. Bayda from a waterskin of theirs containing a mixture of unripe dates and dates, when someone came in to us and said: "A matter has occurred today." We said: "What is it?" He said: "Wine has been made forbidden." So we poured it out, and that day we considered it wine.
