حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
لَمَّا دَعَا نَبِيُّ اللهِ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ صَاحِبَهُ إِلَى الْأَجَلِ الَّذِي كَانَ بَيْنَهُمَا، قَالَ لَهُ صَاحِبُهُ: كُلُّ شَاةٍ وَلَدَتْ عَلَى غَيْرِ لَوْنِهَا فَلَكَ وَلَدُهَا، قَالَ: فَعَمَدَ فَوَضَعَ حِبَالًا عَلَى الْمَاءِ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتِ الْحِبَالَ فَزِعَتْ فَجَالَتْ جَوْلَةً فَوَلَدْنَ كُلُّهُنَّ بُرْقًا إِلَّا شَاةً وَاحِدَةً، فَذَهَبَ بِأَوْلَادِهِنَّ ذَلِكَ الْعَامَ
Translation

✧ When the Prophet of Allah Musa ﷺ summoned his companion to the term that was between them, his companion said to him: Every ewe that gives birth to a lamb of a color other than its own, its offspring is yours. He said: So he went and placed ropes on the water, and when the ewes saw the ropes, they took fright and bolted, and they all gave birth to speckled lambs except one ewe. So he took their offspring that year.
