حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

فِي قَوْلِ اللهِ زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ قَالَ: زِيدُوا عَقَارِبَ، أَنْيَابُهَا كَالنَّخْلِ الطِّوَالِ

Translation

✧ Concerning God's saying: "We increased them in punishment above the punishment" (Q 16:88), he said: "Scorpions were added to them, whose fangs are like tall palm trees."
