✧ There was a man who would carry wine from Khaybar to Madinah and sell it to the Muslims. He carried some of it with money and arrived in Madinah with it. A man from the Muslims met him and said: O so-and-so, wine has been forbidden. So he placed it where he ended up on a hill and covered it with cloaks. Then he came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, it has reached me that wine has been forbidden? He said: Yes. He said: Should I return it to the one from whom I bought it? He said: It is not proper to return it. He said: Can I give it as a gift?... And he mentioned the rest of the hadith.
