حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:

سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، هَلْ تَنْفَعُهُ نُبُوَّتُكَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، أَخْرَجْتُهُ مِنْ غَمْرَةِ جَهَنَّمَ إِلَى ضَحْضَاحٍ مِنْهَا، وَسُئِلَ عَنْ خَدِيجَةَ لِأَنَّهَا مَاتَتْ قَبْلَ الْفَرَائِضِ وَأَحْكَامِ الْقُرْآنِ، فَقَالَ: أَبْصَرْتُهَا عَلَى نَهَرٍ مِنْ أَنْهَارِ الْجَنَّةِ، فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ قَصَبٍ لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ، وَسُئِلَ عَنْ وَرَقَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ قَالَ: أَبْصَرْتُهُ فِي بُطْنَانِ الْجَنَّةِ عَلَيْهِ سُنْدُسٌ، وَسُئِلَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ، فَقَالَ: يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أُمَّةً وَحْدَهُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was asked about Abu Talib: 'Does your prophethood benefit him?' He said, 'Yes, I brought him out from the depth of Hell to a shallow part of it.' He was asked about Khadijah because she died before the obligations and rulings of the Qur'an, and he said, 'I saw her by a river of the rivers of Paradise, in a house of reeds, with no clamor and no toil.' He was asked about Waraqah b. Nawfal, and he said, 'I saw him in the interior of Paradise, wearing fine silk.' He was asked about Zayd b. Amr b. Nufayl, and he said, 'He will be raised on the Day of Resurrection as a community alone, between me and Jesus (peace be upon them both).'
