✧ While the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Friday sermon, a caravan arrived in Madinah, and the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rushed to it until only twelve men remained with him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'By Him in whose hand is my soul, if you had all followed one another until none of you remained, the valley would have swept you into the Fire.' Then this verse was revealed: 'And when they saw a transaction or a diversion, they rushed to it and left you standing.' He said: 'Among the twelve who remained with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were Abu Bakr and 'Umar.'
