حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَمِّهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ
أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ، فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا يُحَدِّثُ أَصْحَابَهُ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ قَامَ إِذَا اسْتَقْبَلَتْهُ الشَّمْسُ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُوءَهُ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ غُفِرَ لَهُ خَطَايَاهُ، وَكَانَ كَمَا وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ

✧ He went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the expedition to Tabuk. One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat talking to his companions and said: "Whoever rises when the sun meets him, performs ablution and does it well, then stands and prays two rak'as, his sins will be forgiven, and he will be as his mother bore him."
