حَدَّثَنَا مُحْرِزُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَطَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْغَفُورِ، عَنْ أَبِي نُصَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، قَالَ:
عَلَيْكُمْ بِلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَالِاسْتِغْفَارِ، فَأَكْثِرُوا مِنْهُمَا، فَإِنَّ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ: أَهْلَكْتُ النَّاسَ بِالذُّنُوبِ، فَأَهْلَكُونِي بِلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَالِاسْتِغْفَارِ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ أَهْلَكْتُهُمْ بِالْأَهْوَاءِ وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ
Translation

✧ Hold to 'There is no god but Allah' and seeking forgiveness, and do them abundantly, for Iblis said: I destroy people through sins, but they destroy me through 'There is no god but Allah' and seeking forgiveness. When I saw that, I destroyed them through whims and desires while they think they are guided.
