machine translationMālik and Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he was asked about praying in a single garment, and he said: "Does each one of you have two garments?" And Sulaymān b. Kathīr narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ. He said: Both are sound (ṣaḥīḥ). ʿUqayl narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd and Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, combining the two.
