About The Imam Praying While Sitting Down

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا زَيْدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحُبَابِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي حُصَيْنٌ مِنْ وَلَدِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ قَالَ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ إِمَامَنَا مَرِيضٌ فَقَالَ إِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَصَلُّوا قُعُودًا

قال أبو داود وهذا الحديث ليس بمتصل قال المنذري وما قاله ظاهر فإن حصينا هذا إنما يروي عن التابعين لا يحفظ له رواية عن الصحابة سيما أسيد بن حضير فإنه قديم الوفاة توفي سنة عشرين وقيل سنة إحدى وعشرين رضي الله عنهم
machine translationAbū Dāwūd said: This hadith is not connected (muttaṣil). al-Mundhirī said: What he said is evident, for this Ḥuṣayn only narrates from the Followers (tābiʿūn); no narration from the Companions is known from him, especially from Usayd b. Ḥuḍayr, for he died early; he died in the year 20, and it is said in the year 21, may God be pleased with them.
