Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq 9940

✧ The people of two religions do not inherit from each other

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ "

أَنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لَا يَرِثُ الْكَافِرَ، مَا كَانَ لَهُ ذُو قَرَابَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ دِينِهِ. فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ ذُو قَرَابَةٍ وَارِثٌ وَرِثَهُ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِالْإِسْلَامِ

Translation

✧ A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever as long as he has a relative from the people of his religion. If he has no inheriting relative, then the Muslims inherit from him by virtue of Islam.
