✧ The letter to the polytheists

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَ:
كَتَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَكَتَبَ فِي أَسْفَلِ الْكِتَابِ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ. فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ
Translation
✧ A man from the polytheists wrote to the Prophet ﷺ, and at the bottom of the letter he greeted him. The Prophet ﷺ ordered that the greeting be returned to him.
