عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ:
كَتَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ إِلَى قَوْمٍ مُحَاصِرِينَ الْعَدُوَّ فِي رَمَضَانَ هَلْ يَصُومُونَ: " أَلَّا تَصُومُوا
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab wrote to a people besieging the enemy during Ramadan, 'Do they fast?' (He said): 'Do not fast.'
