✧ Who bloodied the face of the Prophet ﷺ

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: وَسَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ، بِبَعْضِهِ
أَنَّ عُتْبَةَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ كَسَرَ رُبَاعِيَّةَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، وَدَمَّى وَجْهَهُ، فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ لَا يَحُلْ عَلَيْهِ الْحَوْلُ حَتَّى يَمُوتَ كَافِرًا "، فَمَا حَالَ عَلَيْهِ الْحَوْلُ حَتَّى مَاتَ كَافِرًا إِلَى النَّارِ
Translation
✧ ʿUtbah b. Abī Waqqāṣ broke the front tooth of the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Uḥud and made his face bleed. The Prophet ﷺ supplicated against him, saying: 'O Allah, do not let a year pass over him until he dies a disbeliever.' And a year did not pass over him before he died a disbeliever, [destined] for the Fire.
