✧ The banner of the Prophet ﷺ and its color

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
قَالَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ: لَأَدْفَعَنَّ الرَّايَةَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ يُحِبُّهُ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَيُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ: فَدَعَا عَلِيًّا وَإِنَّهُ لَأَرْمَدُ، فَتَفَلَ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ دَفَعَهَا إِلَيْهِ فَفَتَحَهَا اللهُ عَلَيْهِ
Translation
✧ On the day of Khaybar he said: 'I will give the banner to a man whom God and His Messenger love, and who loves God and His Messenger.' Then he called 'Ali, and he had sore eyes, and he spat in his eyes, then gave it to him, and God granted him victory.
