عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ:
بَعَثَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنَ مُجَزَّزٍ فِي أُنَاسٍ إِلَى الْحَبَشَةِ فَأُصِيبُوا فِي الْبَحْرِ فَحَلَفَ عُمَرُ بِاللهِ لَا يَحْمِلُ فِيهَا أَبَدًا
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab sent Alqamah b. Mujazziz with some people to Abyssinia, and they were afflicted at sea. Umar swore by God he would never carry anyone on it again.
