✧ The reward of martyrdom

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ بُجَيْرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ الْكِنْدِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:
إِنَّ لِلشَّهِيدِ عِنْدَ اللهِ تِسْعَ خِصَالٍ - أَنَا أَشُكُّ - يَغْفِرُ اللهُ ذَنْبَهُ فِي أَوَّلِ دُفْعَةٍ مِنْ دَمِهِ، وَيَرَى مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَيُحَلَّى بِحِلْيَةِ الْإِيمَانِ، وَيُجَارُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَيُزَوَّجُ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ، وَيُؤَمَّنُ مِنَ الْفَزَعِ الْأَكْبَرِ، وَيُوضَعُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ تَاجُ الْوَقَارِ، كُلُّ يَاقُوتَةٍ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، وَيُزَوَّجُ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ زَوْجَةً مِنْ حُورِ الْعِينِ، وَيَشْفَعُ فِي سَبْعِينَ إِنْسَانًا مِنْ أَقَارِبِهِ
Translation
✧ Indeed, for the martyr with God there are nine qualities—I am uncertain—God forgives his sin at the first gush of his blood, he sees his seat in Paradise, he is adorned with the ornament of faith, he is protected from the punishment of the grave, he is married to the wide-eyed houris, he is secured from the greatest terror, a crown of dignity is placed on his head, each ruby of which is better than this world and all it contains, he is married to seventy-two wives from the wide-eyed houris, and he intercedes for seventy people among his relatives.
