✧ The merit of jihad

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبَانَ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ:
مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَخْطَأَ أَوْ أَصَابَ كَانَ كَعِدْلِ رَقَبَةٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ
Translation
✧ Whoever grows a gray hair in the path of Allah, it will be light for him on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever shoots an arrow in the path of Allah, whether it misses or hits, it is like the manumission of a slave from the descendants of Isma'il.
