✧ What is done with one who misappropriates booty

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:
لَا تَتَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ، فَإِنَّكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُبْتَلُونَ بِهِمْ، وَاسْأَلُوا اللهَ الْعَافِيَةَ، فَإِذَا جَاءُوكُمْ يَبْرُقُونَ وَيُرَجِّعُونَ، وَيَصِيحُونَ فَالْأَرْضَ الْأَرْضَ جُلُوسًا، ثُمَّ تَقُولُوا: اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّهُمْ، نَوَاصِينَا وَنَوَاصِيهِمْ بِيَدِكَ، وَإِنَّمَا تَقْتُلُهُمْ أَنْتَ، فَإِذَا دَنَوْا مِنْكُمْ فَثُورُوا إِلَيْهِمْ، وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ تَحْتَ الْبَارِقَةِ
Translation
✧ Do not wish to meet the enemy, for you do not know—perhaps you will be tested by them. Ask Allah for well-being. Then when they come to you flashing their swords, chanting, and shouting, then [stay close to] the ground, the ground, sitting down. Then say: “O Allah, our Lord and their Lord, our forelocks and their forelocks are in Your hand; indeed only You kill them.” Then when they come near you, rise up against them, and know that Paradise lies beneath the flashing swords.
